Whats for Dinner

Here is what we had for dinner one night last week.
It turned out very good. It is my adaptation of
another recipe Shrimp and Pasta recipe.
I took out a few items and then add some things I like.

Give it a try when you need something fast and easy
Great enough for company.
Serve with a salad, hot bread and maybe a slice of cheesecake afterwards

INGREDIENTS
8 ounces dry fettuccine pasta
3 cloves garlic
1/2 sweet onion, sliced
1 Head of Broccoli floretts
4 tablespoons olive oil
Soy sauce
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound uncooked shrimp - peeled and deveined

DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta, and cook for 8 minutes, or until tender. Drain.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat combine the garlic & onion and saute. Add broccoli, salt and pepper. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes while the pasta is cooking, stirring occasionally. Remove from skillet.
Stir fry shrimp in the same skillet with a small amount of olive oil. Cook until shrimp are pink. Add veggies on top of shrimp. Top with fresh basil strips.
Cook an additional 3-5 minutes. You may want to add soy sauce to your taste.
Toss with pasta in a large serving bowl.
OPTIONAL : mix in 8 oz. of shredded mozzarella cheese.
If using soy sauce I would suggest not using the mozzarella cheese.

MMMGood!

Linda,

The pasta-shrimp dish looks delicious. The blue and white plate are right up my alley......

Chloe is adorable. My son-in-law raises Beagles as well as Regals (cross between Rat Terriers and Beagles).

Thank you for dropping by to visit with me.....

I'm starving and man, does that look good! I love shrimp and broccoli.

Thanks for the comment on my blog, but especially for your prayers. I do appreciate it, and the more prayers the better. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much, the Bible says, and I believe it!

Blessings,

Diane
